The director deliberately doesnt want us to recognize some actors faces i think. The camera angle is always too close the actors faces and it is very jarring. The action sequences had a lot of promise but its mostly close combat sequences which are filmed with shaky camera and million cuts stitched to make it look cool.
Stallone is super bland and unimpressive in this movie. The rest of the cast just read through their lines and put zero effort into anything.
He plays a typical macho kick ass action hero's role quite well. I am not sure how popular he is in the east cinemas but he does a good job in this movie.
